Pilot project countering motor insurance frauds for Soglasie Insurance

The Communications Agency Poleznye svyazy has launched, in collaboration with Soglasie Insurance Company, a project aimed at combatting fraud in the digital channel of the motor insurance market segment. As part of the project, the agency monitored in the pilot region marketing efforts of those offering their services to settle insurance claims. It also conducted awareness campaigns targeting the ultimate consumers – insurance certificate owners. The pilot exposed key techniques fraudsters use against car owners and tested various narratives as well as their impact on the consumer's decision to turn to traffic pseudo-lawyers. Soglasie Insurance Company was established in 1993, with a registered capital of RUB 5.4 bn. Their regional branch network comprises about 350 units in all Russia’s Federal Districts. In H1 2018, Soglasie's total insurance premiums amounted to RUB 15.189 bn, with insurance benefits paid worth RUB 8.413 bn.
